Red Heart In A Blue State

Phoning the internet and the greatest Thanksgiving I've had so far.

I installed my IP phone just last week and so far it is working fantastic. Here's the link to Westelsolutions.com where I ordered mine from. I had several companies to choose from and picked the one I thought would give me the best price and service.

We got am email Wednesday morning from the commander of my son's battalion that they were going to be arriving home that evening, what great news! They were deployed around Thanksgiving last year, and made it home in time for it this year. It's been a long year of waiting for them to return. We are so proud of them for putting their lives on the line for their country. I know our own son was almost killed a couple of times and saw the aftermath of the insurgents beheadings of women and children. I know he has seen much more than anyone in a life should have to see, but he is dealing with it and he said the people there gave him the hope that we are doing the right thing. The resolve of the Iraqi people is utterly amazing. They want freedom and aren't going to let go of it. As the insurgents tried to indimidate the locals around the base our son was at, the amount of tips and intelligence increases dramatically over the year. Once the people knew we were not going to abandon them like we did in the first gulf war, they began to trust us more and more.

They are home now have a much more solid appreciation for what freedoms we have. After seeing people who were willing to die just to have the chance to vote can do nothing but move you. How can you take our freedom to vote less seriously now. I hope that all the families of the soldiers that just returned have a great Thanksgiving and the families who still have an empty seat at their meal will say a special prayer for those that are still away protecting our freedoms.
