When did the president lose his hearing?
What the hell is wrong with this picture? Our president goes on national television to let us know there is a serious security problem at our borders, and then says the solution is to do nothing but pretend that the 20 million people who have already broken federal law by crossing didn't really happen. We already have laws in place, and we already have an immigration quota. What we don't have is anyone willing to enforce what is already there.
For those of you that are already to jump and scream I'm a racist, I'm 1/4 hispanic. My grandfather came across through the legal immigration process in the 30's. It took him 7 years to get a permanent green card. 100% of my mom's family is livid at what is happening today with the amnesty programs disguised as whatever name they can come up with. They see through it like glass, but the politicians, both blind, and dumb still think we are fooled. Sorry, but we aren't. Everyone who has spent the years and the money to get to this country properly and legally is being spit upon by this shameful act of spoiled, egocentric, rich politicians who cannot see beyond their own poll numbers to do what needs to be done for the best interest of our own country.
If ANY politician who thinks they will get re-elected by voting for ANY bill that even remotely contains a reference to an amnesty program, which includes the idiotic "guest worker" term, they better think hard and think hard twice. There will be a backlash the likes of which will be talked about in history books for a thousand years.
I will also warn every politician that if ANYTHING, I mean ANYTHING happens to American citizens, such as another 9/11 type attack, because of your neglect and obvious unwillingness to deal with this security issue, all of you will be held accountable by the people of this country.
I have no idea what President Bush is planning with Vincente Fox for after the presidency, but you are here now as the President and you better not forget it. We do not have to answer to another country's leaders. We are the top of the heap and you better start acting like it. What you should be doing is putting the thumbscrews on Fox and start making him clean up his own country. We are not Mexico's personal rug through which they can sweep his problems under.
Remember all of you in Washington D.C., you are under the microscope and we are watching you!
